Durability

The bag is made of high-quality organic cotton. The bag can be used in many ways, for example as a gift bag, to store many things or for shopping. The bag is the first to receive the Blue Angel for textiles because it is environmentally friendly manufactured and tested for harmful substances. In addition, social criteria are taken into account in the extraction of raw materials and the final production. In addition to the Blue Angel, the bag is made of organically grown cotton Fairtrade and certified according to the international GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). The manufacturer's quality and environmental management is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 and the social working conditions in the production facility are guaranteed by the SA 8000 standard.

The product is made from 100% certified organic cotton and fulfils the standards of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Fairtrade Cotton and the Green Button. The seals guarantee the organically controlled origin of the cotton and minimise social risks such as child and forced labour, human rights violations, discrimination and unfair pay. The majority of production is based on renewable energies (e.g. solar energy), which are continuously being expanded.

All manufacturing steps, from processing the cotton to spinning and making up the products, take place in India's southernmost state, Tamil Nadu. This guarantees short transport routes. For many years, we have been working together with a German agency that personally supervises the manufacturing companies on site on our behalf, from product development to dispatch of the finished product. In addition to checks on working conditions and employee pay, the main focus here is on quality assurance in terms of product, production, documentation and ethical and social standards. A complaints mechanism has been set up for employees at the production plant. In addition to this, employees have the opportunity to submit complaints directly to the agency.

The bag is also the first to be labelled with the Blue Angel for textiles. This is a tried and tested eco-label that has been promoting environmentally friendly products for many years. The independent seal is only awarded to products that fulfil high requirements in terms of environmental, health and usage properties.
